Floor Care Flurry
Are you washing your floors correctly? What a way to start a conversation, huh? Well now that I have your attention let me cover some "well washed" ground.
There are so many "tools" on the market today to make your job easier...but I am sorry to break the news to you that most are just a shortcut way of putting off the inevitable. Yes, dear ones, you need to sweep the floor first thoroughly. Then lets fill up a bucket with some warm sudsy water...use a little Dawn diswashing liquid or Joy..just a squeeze or 2 in a bucket. Oh, here is the truth! You will need to wash that floor on your hands and knees if you want it really clean! You can use the shortcuts to keep up appearances in between washings but if you want that dazzling look the old fashioned way is really best!
If you have wood floors you may want to add an additional step and once the floors are washed you can fill the bucket with some cool room temperature water and a quart of brewed tea...yes, I said it! A coating of tea with a soft damp, not wet cloth will bring out the wood and it will look ...marvelous!
Job Done...go have a cup of tea and revel in your beautiful floors!
